Skooldrag - School Wear

CLOTHING

April is the month of transition from winter to summer wear, i.e. by May all learners should  be  wearing the winter uniform. 
September is the month of transition from summer to winter wear, i.e. by October all learners  should be wearing the summer uniform.  

SEASON: WINTER (May - end August)

 Boys

  •    Long-sleeved grey shirt and tie; or short sleeved shirts without a tie and grey pair of long trousers.

  •    Trousers appear much neater when worn with a belt.

  •    School jersey and/or bottle green Drimac or school blazer.

  •    Black school shoes and grey socks with school’s colours in the cuff.

  •    Dark green scarf when needed

  •    No caps (knitted or plain)

  •    During winter, tracksuits may only be worn for KDA on days allocated for KDA.  Arrive at school in school uniform;  change in KDA period.


NB:  Tracksuits may not be worn as school uniform.

 

 Girls

  •    Long-sleeved  grey shirt with a tie and prescribed grey slacks.

  •    School jersey (green with yellow stripes) and/or neat bottle green Drimac or school blazer.

  •    Girls who prefer to wear the green and white checkered dresses, should wear black or green tights as part of their uniform.

  •    Black school shoes and grey socks.  

  •    Dark green scarf, when needed.

  •    No caps. (knitted or plain)

  •    During winter, tracksuits may only be worn for KDA on days allocated for KDA.   Arrive at school in school uniform;  change   in   KDA period.

SEASON: SUMMER (October - end March)

 Boys

  •    Grey pair of long trousers and short sleeved grey shirt or grey shorts with a grey short sleeved shirt.

  •    Black school shoes and grey socks with the school’s colours on the cuff.

  •    During summer, boys may attend school barefoot (on condition that they wear shorts)

 

 Girls

  •    Green-and-white checkered short-sleeved dress; seam ± 4 fingers above the knee.

  •    Black school shoes with short white socks (no secret socks).

  •    During summer, junior girls (Grade 1 – 3) may attend school barefoot.

 

CIVVIE DAYS AND SPORT PRACTICE

  •    No see-through clothing.

  •    No tops with spaghetti straps.

  •    A learner's stomach and back should be covered at all times.

  •    No make-up or nail polish.

  •    Flat shoes.

  •    All sport practices and KDA:  Black rugby shorts and green KDA shirt.

 

KDA SHIRTS AND SHORTS

  • KDA shirts and black rugby shorts are available at all the suppliers of our school uniform.  Please note that this outfit is compulsory.

JEWELLERY

 Boys

  •    No rings

  •    Only Medic Alert bracelet

  •    Medic Alert chain only.

  •    No earrings.

 

 Girls

  •    Signet rings only.

  •    Medic Alert bracelet only.

  •    Medic Alert chain only.

  •    Only one piercing per ear in the earlobe, with either sleepers with maximum diameter of 1 cm; or gold or silver studs.

  •    No nail polish.

  •    Short, clean nails.

  •    Functional watch only, no toys.


HAIR

 Boys

  •    Neat, short hair style (no extra-ordinary style, eg. mohawk cut, German cut etc.)

  •    No coloured hair or streaks. Parents to please assist us in this regard.

 

 Girls

  •    Hair should be tied when it reaches collar length.

  •    Hair should be kept out of the eyes.

  •    No strange, uncommon hairstyles, coloured hair or streaks.  Parents to please assist us in this regard.

  •    Short hair should be cut in such a way that it is easily kept out of the eyes for the duration of the school day.

  •    Only dark green ribbons, hair bands, clips or elastics.


GENERAL RULES

  •    NO tattoos are allowed.

  •    NO facial piercings.

  •    NO toys.

  •    NO cellphones.

  •    'n Langbroek vertoon altyd netjieser met 'n gordel / belt.

  •    ‘n Skooltrui (groen met geel strepe) en/of netjiese bottelgroen Drimac of skoolbaadjie.

  •    Swart skoolskoene en grys kouse met skool se kleure in die omslag.

  •    Donkergroen serp, indien verlang.

  •    Geen musse / pette nie.

  •    Gedurende die winter mag skoolsweetpakke slegs vir KDA op KDA-dae gedra word.

  •    Arriveer by skool in skooldrag.  Verklee vir periode.

 

NB: Skoolsweetpakke mag nie as skooluniform gedra word nie.

 Dogters

  •    ‘n Grys langmouhemp met ‘n das en  voorgeskrewe grys langbroek.  Grys kouse word hierby gedra.

  •    ‘n Skooltrui (groen met geel strepe) en/of netjiese bottelgroen Drimac of skoolbaadjie.

  •    Dogters wat verkies om die groen en wit geruite rokkies te dra, moet egter swart of groen broekie-kouse (tights) hierby dra.

  •    Swart skoolskoene.

  •    Donkergroen serp, indien verlang.

  •    Geen musse / pette nie.

  •    Gedurende die winter mag skoolsweetpakke slegs vir KDA op KDA-dae gedra word.  Arriveer by skool in skooldrag.

SEISOEN: SOMER (Oktober - einde Maart)


 Seuns

  •    Grys langbroek en grys kortmou hemp of grys kortbroek en grys kortmou hempie.

  •    Swart skoolskoene en grys kouse met skool se kleure in die omslag.

  •    Gedurende die somer mag seuns kaalvoet skool toe kom (mits hulle 'n kortbroek dra).


 Dogters

  •    Groen en wit geruite kortmou rokkie (soom ± 4 vingers bo knie).

  •    Swart skoolskoene met kort wit sokkies wat omvou (geen "secret" kouse).

  •    Gedurende die somer mag slegs junior (Gr. 1 – 3) dogters kaalvoet skool toe kom.


"CIVVIE-DAE" EN SPORTOEFENING

  •   Geen deurskynende klere nie

  •    Geen spaghetti-bandjie toppies nie

  •    Geen oop en kaal magies nie

  •    Geen kaal rûe nie

  •    Geen grimering of naellak nie

  •    Dogters se hare vasgebind soos vir skool

  •    Alle sportoefening en KDA:  Swart rugbybroekie met groen KDA-hempie.

 

KDA-HEMDE EN RUGBYBROEKIES:  

  • KDA-hemde en swart rugbybroekies is beskikbaar by al die leweransiers van skooldrag.  Let asb. daarop dat hierdie drag verpligtend is.

  •    Geen buitengewone styl nie, asook geen kleurstrepies of gekleurde hare nie.  Asseblief ouers, help ons in dié verband.


 Dogters

  •    Hare mag nie in die oë hang nie.

  •    Kort hare moet in 'n tipe styl gesny word dat dit nooit gedurende die skooldag in dogter se oë / gesig hang nie.

  •    Slegs donkergroen haarlinte, kopbande, knippies of rekkies.


ALGEMEEN

  •    GEEN tatoeërmerke word toegelaat nie.

  •    GEEN gaatjies vir enige juweliersware mag op die gesig aangebring word nie.

  •    GEEN speelgoed nie.

  •    GEEN selfone nie
